You Are a a Martini Woman

Truly classy and refined, you drink like a lady.

You know how to hold your liquor, and you always keep your composure.

And you demand the same in a guy - especially if he can remain a gentleman while drunk.

You prefer to date successful men, who can pay for your quality drinks.

What Your Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwich Means

Your eating style is gluttonous. If you like something, you're going back for seconds... no matter how full you are!

You have an average sweet tooth. While you enjoy desserts, they aren't exactly your downfall.

Your taste in food tends to be quite eclectic and wide. You are an adventurous eater, and you like many types of cuisines.

You belong to a class that's all your own. You resist rules and traditions of any sort.

You are a tough person who isn't afraid to live life fully. There isn't a lot that scares you.

You are laid back and extremely easygoing. You never make a fuss, and you try to enjoy every moment.

Your Celebrity Sisters Are Mary-Kate and Ashley

Funky, eccentric, and offbeat

You're not a good girl or a bad girl, just a weird girl

You are Dark Chocolate

You live your life with intensity, always going full force.

You push yourself (and others) to the limit... you want more than you can handle.

An extreme person, you challenge and inspire the world!

Your Nail Polish Color is Black

How you're unique: There's nothing about you that isn't unique

Why your style rocks: You are a total indie chick... and you can pull it off

What this color says about you: "I'm a trendsetter and don't care what anyone else is doing!"

You Should Be With a Water Sign!

Your best match is a Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces

Why? You crave intimacy and connection in your relationship

And while most guys can't open up enough for you, a Water Sign can

Not that you're whole relationship will be soul gazing

A Water Sign matches your goofy sense of humor - and desire to help others.

You Are a Sleek Black Bra!

Subtle, sophisticated, and classy.

You're not the first woman a man notices in the room...

But you're the one he remembers a week later.

You need a guy who will make a lasting impression on you too!

I wonder if it is just coincidence, a sign or what. Recently, I've been seeing a few guys wearing HIM band shirts and one mega cool gy with a mohawk, sporting a heartagram on his neck. I wonder, is HIM getting more popular or these little groups of HIM fans just started cming from their room, after replaying their HIM cds till they are all scratched and had to trudge out in the sun to get a new one. Hmm. Anyway, I want a HIM beanie! I shall search ebay or sth for one. Hahha. and YES, I would wear it. Proudly in fact:)))))).

Back to the pc far again! This time with sm & oi. First stop was at the apple epi centre roadshow which was parked right at the entrance of suntec. I just asked a few basic questions about mac and the promotions(which was NONE), I decided to get it online . Plus, I didn't really get what the guy was saying with his lisping and braces and all. Not that I have anything against braces, I had them before too.

Afer that we went to meet sm's parents, as sm was going to get a new laptop too. Whoa, I was astounded at the bargaining powers of mama lin. Honestly, I was. In the end, sm managed to get the second price, with a thumbdrive thrown in. We then went to walk around and eat at Ya Kun. YES, people do eat ya kun for meals other than tea and breakfast ok. Loitered around...chocked up the kiddie queue to get free popcorn and candy floss, hey these guys didn't cap an age limit s we should fully exploit it alright?

We passed the epicentre and I wanted to go in, to get a last shot at bugging the apple sales personnel. The first guy who was serving us was probably a newbie, who didn't know his stuff much. "What's the difference between the inhouse promotion and student prices?" "Er...it's more expensive." Like dude... so we just got away from him and discussed outside whether I should get it. Sm & oi told me to find another person and to ask again, and thank god we did. This guy knew his stuff at least! He reccomended the inhouse promotion as it was more worth it than the student price plans, plus he gave me a microsoft office for mac free! Shhh Not supposed to tell. Hahah. And with the $80 voucher which came with the promotion, I got a blue casing for my macbook which I later realized would match my ipod! So excited, so excited. Hahah. I felt pretty sad when I saw FOUR digits on the machine when I was pressing my atm pin number. The guy also gave e a run through on how to use a mac, which I daresay is pretty darn easy. I think I'm pretty adaptable at these kind of stuff, like how I can switch from one brand of phone to another with ease.

Take this quiz!

A trip to some god-forgone place in paya lebar to get my poor camera serviced was definetly a bad idea. Ky and I had to trudge through the rain, around a construction site, running each time a car came dangerously close to a puddle fo fear of being splashed on by muddy oily consturction leakages. Our ingenious idea of braving the rain despite our trusty umbrellas sitting dry and safe in our bags didn't help things either. To top it off, the damn service centre was not open today(*$#$(#@)(.

Went to raffles place to get the ball and off to play bball. By the time we reached, we were so damn tired, we didn't feel like playing ball. The effects cancer sticks have on my stamina didn't help either. sigh.
Such a mad mad day today, or rather, yesterday was. Everyone seemed drunk on stress. Every single modem around seemed to have caught a vesak holiday virus and the calls just came pouring in early in the morning, right till after lunch. Jy the phone monster was up to his usual antics, traumatizing poor banu along with his side kick jeremiah. Email spams came and went. Smoked with afiah during the break, much the IMMENSE surprise of banu and serene and yes, afiah too. Today is the last day I wold be seeing afiah, as she is going to erm, "furthur her studies". She was the first friend I made here! Even though it was just because I was the weirdo who came in late and just sat next to the girl who is pretty, hahaah.

Went to the pc fair with some of them. Grabbed pamphlets, posed as innocently curious customers as we bomabarded the mio sales people with questions. I think songhui & kianwei would never want to go out with us again, with the pathalogical lying and spinning of tall tales, along with the immense embarrassment of drawing attention from the public as we were pretty loud. Laughing till you can't eat isn't much of a pro either.

Oh gosh, I'm stuck between getting a mac or a fujitsu. Money is one problem. Another is the compatibility, regarding the mac. I'm not sure why I'm so bent on getting a mac. Probably because not many people use it, and being the typical spastic oh-I-shall-get-the-less-mainstream-one me, I was pretty attracted to it. Plus, it's within my budget and the specs seem kinda good. Being a tech idiot, I had to badger everyone around me to translate the reviews on sites as they were some sort of foreigh techy language I had no conceivable way of deciphering on my own. Anyone with advice please spam my board about it asap!

My biggest buy yet: Two jeans from AX. One was a skinny cut navy blue-black, and the other a white stone washed straight cut. My mum jsut kept persuading me to get them as they were such a gorgeos fit and made my legs look long and lean. The manager apllied us for some club 21 card which I doubt would ever be in use again, plus gave us this free AX bag! SO now, I have a new school bag! The prob is it's pretty huge, so when my mum asked what are we going to do with such a large bag and he was like "I'm sure it would come in handy."

OMFG. I just read the receipt and found out the bag cost 199 freakin bucks. Call me country bumpkin but oh my freaking god.

I accepted nus already and applied for the residence. I was thinking that if I'm going to screw up, at least I would screw up doing something I like. I was just reading my brother's notes and was pretty glad I hadn't selected business. I doubt I would enjoy having lectures that seem like those motivational leadership talks, or on how to manage your staff. Sigh. But all those nagging doubts still plague me. What if I end up being last in class? What if I end up not liking it? What if I won't get a job or end up with a job I hate? What if what if what if. There are just a million what ifs bombarding me and not a single one can be answered. Jc doesn't really prep you for uni. All they do is make you memorize and learn things you would forget in a month after graduation.

Sigh.
Just had lunch with eeli & aud at Foster's over at hv. It suppose its main attraction is the decor and ambience as the food really wasnt that great. I had an oxtail stew set lunch, and it wasn't a stew at all. More lie 3 chunks of oxtail(which required immense dexterity to manouver the meat of the bone) and a drizzle of sauce on it. Eeli and aud's steak were kind of tiny.

Headed down to forum to collect my transpt allowance claim and used it to get my first pack. They should have a starter kit or something eh? Just applied for nus residence. I think I will wait till night when more people are online. I need rallied support when I accept fass.

The day started out great today. After work I met up with liesel, sm oi and alex for dinner at brewerks. It was a really great time but I'm too upset now to go in to detail about it.

Monetary problems just strikes that chord in me and causes my relapse. I feel like the biggest loser in the world. A blunt blade does nothing but grazes the skin. Now we all know why I'm never going to be a surgeon. I hate all this uni crap, it just messes with my head. Sometimes I feel like just making myself the biggest fuck up of all and just go to fass and live on the streets. I shall just grad from arts sch and be a busker on the roadside and turn out to be the homocidal primary sch teacher who goes on the rampage to hunt down on her bloody students. Why the fuck does everyone just look down on fass and say business is a hell lot better? But there always that little optimistic bit of light they try to shed on my situation, saying that oh you should pursue your passion and not the money. Fuck.

I just want to shoot myself in the head and end this damn thing. Maybe I shouldn't even go to uni. So what if I have the chance to pursue my tertiary education. It's not even what I want and what I am going to study would probably cause me to end up unemployed in the end too. I may as well end my life, before I have to see myself turn into a bum who still sleeps in the same room as her mom when she is like in her twenties and would most likely be in the same situation till she is thirty.

An the man was on mc today so we totally horsed arnd at work. Throwing sweets around, talking across the room and generally having a much less stressed time. In just two days, I had three tubes of fruitella and a box of flozz barley mints polished off, along with a smattering of m&ms and haribo giant sour roulette. Work induces diabetes. Don't you doubt it.

Met up with shimin & huili after work to watch a movie. We were supposed to catch 28 weeks later but our genius darling min min checked the timing wrongly. She saw the timings on SUNDAY not MONDAY, thus we ended up having to watch another movie. Caught next in the end, which wasn't very good. The plot was kind of lame and ludacris, the ending being the worst of the worst. Very much reminding of those primary top DON'T essay endings. E.g I suddenly woke up and realized it was all a dream.

A day with those two would of course mean completely embarrassing yourself in public. We ate a HUGE tub of ice cream we bought at jasons at the fountain edge in raffles plaza. Hahahahm, and being of cheap quality, the icecream was all runny and gooey, of which we had scooped a major amount of near inedible areas onto the lid. I suppose three girls gorging on gooey runny blobs of orange icecream are a rare sight judging from all the amused stares we were given.

Went for the nus fass open house today with aud. I met quite a few of my s1 class there. Lilian, eeli, daph, germaine(sorry part, your name slipped my name for a bit). Busstop girl was there too. I think I really may just go fass. I sat in for the philosphy, psychology, social work and english lang courses and they really sound very appealing to me unlike business. However, the main gist of the talks are that you may be a teacher(highly likely), but it's better to take something you would like to study. Sigh decisions, decisions.

Met up with shimin for a late lunch at vi'lage. I can't believe she said I was weird!
sm: eh I thoink you are very weird leh!
me: huh! why! why am I weird you are the weirdo! how am I weird!
sm: hahahha i don't know. no word can describe you. just weird lah.
me: *&$)(#*)@(*)$@#*

Jackfruit ain't jap food and my head is hurting so much. I think it's because I'm growing fatter and my head is trying to expand but my scalp won't stretch. Shimin, I hope we can be roomies in nus so we wold be fellow losers who skate up & down the hills of campus.

I had a bad start and bad end at work today. When I first woke up this morning,I realized I was on the 10 oclock shift, not the 1030 one. So, I began to rush like mad and I got the bustop slightly eearlier. However, the bus still came at the same time, so I was already decidedly late. But to add to my misfortune, halfway on the busride I realized I left my keys at home. Now my keys are deadly important, as without it I cant open my drawers at work and retrieve my headset and notes and stuff. Thus, I had to embark on my journey off the bus and take a cab from across the road back home.

Just as I was crossing the road, I had to hurdle over this barrier, which I did unsuccessfully causing me to bang my knee into it and now there is this gorgeous yellow and purple bruise forming, plus it hurts like hell. Anyway, I ended up reaching my workplace at abt 1020. Plus, I had to meet my tl downstairs as he was smoking. Since he didn't say anything, I presume he didn't know I was late and let him sign in first before I did. Hahahah. With such a bad start, I was predicting a bad day with huge amounts of complaint cases.

Throughout the day, it was pretty much ok. I had a free lunch as we went for some talk by the directors. But the thing was, we just ate and hurriedly left before the talk commenced, sneaking off to 7-11 to get cigs and snickers dark chocolate, which I must say is VERY VERY NICE. WE couldn't stay out too long as we got caught by Desmond & Jason(the 2nd level technicians) who were smoking outside. Dammit.

At the very end of the day, I was jsut getting my last call before auxing and I HAD to get a complaint case. This lady was so livid as she had called in SO MANY TIMES and apparently I was the 7th person so she just lashed out at me. I was in such a fluster to solve her case, which thankfully I could push to this other person from another dept. I had called the installation dept SO many times that the guy was like " Xiaoan? you again ah! Aiyoooo..." Hahaha.

Went shopping with my old mum. The kate moss collection at topshop was such a bore. The only thing I liked were the sandals which made my feet look like pig trotters. Was at Gap looking at their white shirt collection. I really liked the ones by Doo Ri, but unfortunately, it made me look really old and I do not like to look old. Most of the S sizes were sold out which is such a pity as I really really wanted to get this one shirt which looked like a trench coat dress thingy. Walked around dfs for a while before heading home.

Off day tmr yipeeeee. PLUS I'm working on veesak day which means DOUBLE PAY!

Tuesday, May 15, 2007

Hanging out with the girls was great today. Met up with sm at city hall and shopped around while waiting for oi to knock off. Auntie had alot of good buys today! 29 freaking bucks for a topshop blazer! When oi came, we went to took a shuttle bus to raffles plaza and went to the pizza place to wait for alex to join us.

After dinner, alex and I went outside for a smoke. She had to light for me as I never ever cld get over my lighter phobia. Not used to menthol cigs, so my nose burned abit. Alex inhaled too deeply in the end and it went to her head which was pretty darn funny. Sigh. Back to work tmr.

Oh gosh. But I really do like the necklace. Plus, I bought two books from kino today. ahhhhh I need to kill this xacmonster.

Finally! A day off from work. Time to update in detail a little.

Wednesday-- Went to MoS and the clinic with steph and alex. Alex was late(as usual), so steph and I entered Mos first. So we were like hanging in the toilet(yes, the toilet is actually a sanctuary for the waiting), and this guy, beer in hand, just walked in. For some inane reason, I had no reaction at all. It was so odd, like when a guy enters the ladies, mostly the first reaction a normal female would do is to scream like the guy was Charles Manson and run out like crazy. Yet, I just sat there on the makeup counter and stared at him, calmly answering him when he asked if this was the gents or the ladies. It was pretty funny reflecting on it, but I'm still immensely amazed at my lack of panic.

Went to the clinic to exploit their offer of five free drinks, then back to mos we went. At smoove room, we HAD to meet the worst person ever. MISTER C. I think everyone in our class know mr c now, after all those weird escapades we had with him at zouk. Ugh. It was the most horrifying thing ever to just catch that glimpse of him, what more of him ruining steph's hard earned chances by telling EVERYONE that she was his girl. HAHAHHA. It was pretty funny coz we could see he was pissing off some guys who were hitting on steph(alex and I just acted oblivious to everyone else who came to talk to us, only steph patronized them). I still prefer the main arena cuz its like a crazy goofy party with foam and retro house music, with people all dressed in outlandish clothes like cowboys or ravers. PLUS, they play gnr. HAHAH.

Photos up under nightout3. I need to get my cam serviced, the flash has gone all wonky on me:((((.

Friday-- bought the hendrix gladiators from topshop. Work wasn't too bad as we got to just listen in on the first half of the day and buddy for the rest.

Saturday-- Met up with leo matt lik sm and liesel for our supposed class outing. Walked from dhoby ghaut all the way to somewhere near NAFA, as leo wanted to take us to the pool cafe. It was pretty good. I had a fine time decided what to get. The freeze, the frost or the float. HAHAH. While leo matt and liesel played pool, sm lik and I walked around the area, all the way to bugis and decided we were too far ao we went back. Sat around and wathced them play, ordered a jug of vodka lime. At the end of pool session, we had no idea what to do. Club, smoke shisha, pub or movie. Finally, it ended up with leo matt and I watching spiderman3.

Getting free drinks at the clinic and killing my feet at MOS last night is taking a toll on me right now. Thank god for coke light to keep me hyped up during training, or I would just sleep like Rip Van Wrinkle. Fiah seems to be much more pro at me than enduring lack of sleep, as she was fully functional without any help despite a night at zou. Oh well, pictures will be up later.

I'm dreading work tmr.

Just played bball with my beloved ky today! Hahahaha. I was like a complete freak this morning as I lugged around a shoebag in hoodie and jeans while the office workers around me rushed around in their formal wear and mini handbags/laptop bags. Training was a huge bore today, very much like a six hour lecture on computer studies. Some of us fell asleep but the guy didnt seem to care very much hahah.

The NTU tea reception yesterday was a tad bit of a time waster. The food wasn't much, and that was the main thin I went for. A very silly thing happened to yiyun and I during the school tour. At first, we were on bus 1 and being the immensily lazy people we are, we kept kvetching about having to get down the bus to take a look around at certain points. All we wanted to do was get over and done with the whole ordeal. So at one stop, bus 2 seemed to be going faster, thus we decided to hop onto to that bus. And well, there was a BIG reason why they seperated us into two different buses, one which we completely missed. Hahah. Hence, we caused two girls to stand during the journey to the next stop as we had taken their seats. COMPLETELY embarrassed, we hopped back onto bus 1 when we met at the next point. >.<

Shopped with alex today again. Orchard was such a disappointment. We scoured through topshop, forever 21, mango, zara and pull and bear; there was absolutely NOTHING to buy, so we decided to go off to vivo instead since she has work there later anyway. At the train station we met Tasneem and turns out, she knows alex too. Hahah., I wonder who in the world does NOT know alex. Hmmm.

Vivo turned out to be much more fruitful. I bought two dresses from river island and alex bought one, a very sexy one at that. HAHHA. Ate long john's onthe steps facing the sentosa entrance. Then alex had to go to work, but she really wanted to get the adidas guys jacket so I offered to help her go get it and deliver it over. Nice old me. Back I went up the red line to orchard, scooted over to paragon and bought the jacket and went to marche to hand it to her. We couldn't buy from vivo as the coupon I had was only valid at franchise stores. The guy was like "people always don't read the back ah." >.< Oh well. Happy happy shopping day today is. Sad Sad day for my bank account though. GAH.

Bollywood fever at MEritus Mandarin last night! Hahah. I attended Dickson's company dinner & dance since prl kids is under that company and it was pretty fun. The theme was bollywood but I didn't have a costume to wear, so I just wore my usual clothes which look a tad oriental.

Most of the staff are really quite young and being in sales, they tend to be more vibrant so it was a really good time. The food was pretty good too, which IS the main reason for my prescence there. There were like two huge slabs of meat from which the chef would cut the steaks from, and it was so nice that serp and I kept going up for more helpings. Lance and Felicia kept making drink up more beer as for some inane reasone they were under the impression was I was a superb drinker. Sorry to fail you guys! The entertainment was pretty interesting, apart from the retarded banghra-robics. However, I daresay that it was interesting to watch others make a fool of themselvees! Photos are up under dicksond&d.

I got transferred to raffles place which is an undecidedly bad thing. My transportion expenditure is going to shoot up the roof thanks to my daily rides on the train:((((. Well, at least I would be in the same area as ky so I could pop by tcc for free drinks! Hhahaha.

Thank god my mum asked my dad to check the mail today, if not I would never have received the ntu business acceptance letter and be left wondering whether they had lost my application. It's raining really badly now, luckily we cancelled our bball game. Hmm, hope these are all good signs for a better day at work tmr.

I wish work was always solitaire, sitting outside the building defrosting in the blazing sun while bundled up in my jacket. I would be drinking my hot milo while fiah smokes her marbolo lights. The rest would then come out and join us with their canned drinks and we would then proceed to the lounge for a little tv time. Like hell they would pay us 7.50 to do that.

Retail therapy for the worried, jobhating soul! I bought an ultramarine satin blouse thing from zara. Work was okay today since it is the LAST DAY OF TRAINING, something I'm not too keen about. Training was like going back to school again. Going through things you have not a clue about, half dozing off while the person speaks and playing games when the person in charge is not looking. Tmr would be the official start of work and I'm not looking forward to momments of flustering, getting yelled at and feeling lost and dazed:(((.

Sunday, April 22, 2007

I just saw the short interview segment of Auntie Cynthia on Discovery Travel & living about her houses and hotels in Sri Lanka and Nepal. It's kind of weird to see some one you know on the telly, really it is. Ug, I can't believe I have to study for my new job and I absolutely hate technical, mechanical things:(((.
Watched fracture today! It was a really really good movie. Intelligent, psychological games, the battle between Ryan Gosling and Anthony Hopkins was just brilliant! Arrogance leading to complacency and thus exploitation of weakness. It did remind me a little bit of Silence of the Lambs though.

After dinner at C Jade express, we went home and guess what? I was locked out! I brought out another bag and forgot to transfer my keys over and it had to be the day where my whole family was out. Dad was over at alvin's, my bro and mum are usually only back at eleven odd. So I had to go through a checkliust of people I could call out to accompany me. Lik who lives pretty near me is stuck in NS or I would go crash his house. Luckily, alex was out so i met her over at city hall and we had starbucks frappes while sitting at the fountain outside the Raffles tower.

Ugh monday blues are already setting in.

I Like Your Hair - Scotty Vanity

PSHYEAH

I hated the first day of work. It was like being the new girl all over again. At least the girl I sat necxt to was kind of cool, though very independent(leaving me a little stranded at times). The training reminds me of those hideos days where I had two lectures in a row. I cant absorb or understand anything the person says, which would prove highly detrimental to me when I actually begin work. Sigh, three more months to go.

So the money minded devil in me won the battle, and off I am to a drab and technical job I have a feeling I would hate. Just htink of the money dear girl, think of the greens. Let's say university orientation camps clash with my work, I will end up with no friends at all ( as Audrey had kindly informed that it is during these camps do you make friends). Ah well, what do I not know of the life of a reclusive loner.

Shopping today was fruitful! Bought a black and hotpink adidas men's jacket. The guy kept insisting for me to take XS but I wanted to take S. The band at the end of the jacket was a bit too fitting for XS. Yes, I am larger than some males in Singapore. Big shocker there. I was reading I-D mag in kino and saw this really cool pastel striped adidas jacket. Immediately I began regretting my new purchase, but after seeing it in the pacific plaza store, I realized it wasn't so nice as the material was abit like a towel. I do like their new cartoony collection though. It was so adorable, just like the ad they had in nylon. Despite dissing the decline in quality of french connection, I bought this really nice royal blue jumper dress from them.

Yes mummy dear, I will buy you your Agnes B. tshirt when I get my first pay and hopefully I would have excess to get myself the YSL tshirt that I suddenly love alot.
I am sooo fucking tired. Work ended at one last night, or should I say this morning. Plus, I had a job interview( of which TWO job agencies called me for) early in the morning at ten. Which means I have to get up at eight so that my brain is functioning by the time I get there, and only people who are not schooling or are farmers OR live in perth get up at such an ungodly hour!

Well, at least working alst night was pretty fun. All I had to do was stand around, move the clothes and listen to people bullshit. After work, Irene wanted to grab a bite so we went down to macs. The queue was held up by this white guy who was asking for paper bags as he was collecting them. While eating, this drunk girl with an ENORMOUS beer belly came in. And I do mean enormous, janice and I thought she was pregnant! After getting her drink or whatever, she began to flirt with these two caucasian men and their conversation was the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. " Hi, I'm February." "Oh I'm July. (fake giggles) You shoukd come join me. Singing rocks!" I presume the girl just came from the ktv bar next door. Honestly, I felt my braincells die as I listened to them(no I did not eavesdrop, drunk people tend to speak quite loudly), do that flirty banter. The weirdest things you meet at night.

I do think my brain became a little befuddled from the influence of the idiocratic conversation and lack of sleep. I totally lost my way around raffles place and went into the wrong building. I was supposed to go to the building next to OCBC, but in my fervent search, I kept thinking OCBC OCBC, so I entered fucking OCBC and went up the elevator to the twelfth floor only o realize I was in the wrong building! I bet the security guards must be thinking how strange that I walk in and out of the building in less than five minutes.

Right, so another job agency just called me and the job sounds much more fun than Singtel's but the pay is much lower too. What to do what to do.

When four people asked you if you have gained weight, you KNOW its time to shed some pounds.

Thursday, April 12, 2007

You Are a Pinky

You are fiercely independent, and possibly downright weird.

A great communicator, you can get along with almost anyone.

You are kind and sympathetic. You support all your friends - and love them for who they are.

You get along well with: The Ring Finger

Stay away from: The Thumb

You Are Boyish Sexy

You're the kind of girl who gets along with all the boys

Whether it's holding your own in a game of touch football...

Or kicking some major butt while playing Xbox.

You hang with the guys easily, while still keeping your girly sexiness.

You Are 71% Manic

You're so energetic, it's almost like you have a superpower.

If you can dream it, you can do it. And without stopping for sleep.

Just make sure you harness your energy for good - not evil!

You Are Pretty Happy Being Single

You have a full, fun life. And you definitely don't need love to be content.

Of course, being single can get you down a little. Especially when you've been single for a while.

But you know how to be patient and wait for the right person. You're life is too good to settle for anything!

You Are 68% Tortured Genius

You are smart. Brilliant in fact. And while it's a blessing, it's also a curse.

Your head is filled with everything - grand ideas, insufferable worries, and a good deal of angst.

How i wish this was true
Job hunting can be such a bitch at times. I want a job, yet I am getting reluctant to work. I guess I need to overcome this lazy inertia, then I would be able to adapt back into working life again. As I waited for aud at raffles place, watching those office workers scurrying back after lunch hour, it really struck me that this is not the kind of life I would like to lead in the future. It's too routine and the corporate world is just too fake for me too bear.

I have decided the top few places to chill out are the starbucks at liang court, holland v and liat towers. The white room at club street is very chic and so is that ice cream shop at haji lane. I guess big conglomerate malls are not too much of my taste. I would be more content ensconced in a sofa with a book, at a cafe tucked away in the alleys or suburban malls. Tazo chai frappe does not agree with me:(((

Every time I go out with my friends, it seems like a contest to be the latest. Today, ky won it hands down, I was so distressed by her tardiness that I got off on the wrong train station hahah. Ate at suki sushi with ky and zi, my two longest ever friends. I'm not sure if wolfie is counted but I'm not as close to her as to them so I doubt not. Anyway, we've known each other for like eleven years and thats a very very very long time for a friendship to last. When you put the three of us together, especially with kahyin, the chemistry is just an explosion of laughter. And I really mean explosion. Guys, if you think oifong and I are loud, wait till you meet crescentians HAHA.

Watched freedom writers after that and I really quite liked the movie. I had expected the typical, teacher reforms a class of delinquents kind. Very predictable, very wholesome. But I guess it hit me somewhere, just like coach carter.

Walked around taka and took so retarded photos after that. Oh yes, at one point we tried to take photos in the neoprint booth as we wanted to save money. However, the shop attendant came to check so ky began pretended to touch the screen and asking "hey so you guys want to use the machine or not?" I caught on and tried to carry out the act and was like "I don't know do you know how to use it? It seems difficult to use." And the attendant was like "Do you need any help?" So ky tried to chase her away by saying we were using the machine but the lady just gave us a puzzled look and walked off. HAHAH.

Matt is came over again. I thought their easter holidays are over but I suppose uk film schools are different? I don't think I would be able to sleep tonight with the blasting of music over from my bro's.

Picutres are up under goingout link still! The album was kinda empty so why waste space. HAHA.

This morning, I told my mum I felt like smoking and guess what she said? She told me to go buy those small packs with ten sticks or so. HAhah. WHich mum would say that! Honestly.

Shopped around club street and ann siang hill with my mum today. The rain was a real dampener so we pretty much did finish the errands and just flitted through the boutiques. Ended up back in orchard and had some jap food, plus I met wolfie too. So pretty haha. I told my mum I felt like smoking again, so she suggested going to arab street to try the shisha, so off we went right after the rain FINALLY stopped. Ordered me'ze which was like this platter of that flat bread thing and loads of dips which were mainly made of chickpeas, like hummus. There was olives and pickles too, but I found them awful. The apple shisha smelt really nice and I think I got drunk smoking it. My mum told the waiter to keep the change and you could see such a big cheeky grin on his face. I kind of understand now, about the time Farhan told me how he just sat around and smoke weed when he was back in pakistan. Honestly, I could just sit there the whole day smoking and drinking ice mint tea. Yummy. And no, I'm not addicted. >.<

Monday, April 09, 2007

Well, if you told me you were drowning
I would not lend a hand
Ive seen your face before my friend
But I dont know if you know who I am
Well, I was there and I saw what you did
I saw it with my own two eyes
So you can wipe off the grin, I know where youve been
Its all been a pack of lies

Well I remember, I remember dont worry
How could I ever forget, its the first time, the last time we ever met
But I know the reason why you keep your silence up, no you dont fool me
The hurt doesnt show; but the pain still grows
Its no stranger to you or me

Blading with shimin today! We were supposed to go marina but she was too lazy to go all the way there since she was at choa chu kang after sao mu, so she asked to go to j8 for lunch. Blading with her at Bishan Park was really fun, partly because she couldn't blade so I had to teach her. And hey, I'm not too bad a teacher okay! Haha. She said she is going to master blading in these three months, so when I get my blades we can go blading around the uni compound. Oh the crazy things we will do IF we do become roomies! Next up on our list, flying a kite we make ourselves:)))

Pictures of the twin's adventures in haji lane and arab street are up under the same album link of goingout!Haha, okay that really sounded like one f the olsen twin's tapes. ANYWAY, I really want to try shisha. We saw this group of kids trying it and they looked so stoned. Like druggy/ drunk stoned. Not the listless sian kind. But the equipment or whatever you call it seems so cool, and the flavours really are quite attractive. I would really like to live the lifestyle of this man we saw at haji lane. I suppose he was one of the shopkeepers. All he does was tend to the shop, go out and have a smoke, and then cycle around on this toosmall bicycle and look at other shops. It seems so relaxing and carefree. Yet again, I could go mad with boredom.
Everyone was born to this world alone and life is tough. everyone knows that, make lemonade from the lemons it gives. But they also know that they can always have a core group of friends and family to rely on. That's what keeps tehm sane in this increasingly mad world, and stopping them from killing themselves. So with no strings attatched to me, what's stopping me from running that blade down my wrist?

Pain loneliness and isolation. Probably just typical teenage angst of a middle class teenager who just does not know how to appreciate things. But I guess, some people are just a little weaker than others.

Remind me to adjust alex's watch back by one hour so that she would be punctual. Waiting for her can be such a bitch at times. She was late when I was to meet her to accompany to highlight her hair at the scene, which I may add, had no visible difference at all after the session. We were late in meeting the people due to her free hair treatment and buying food, withdrawing money yadda yadda.

Blading was pretty fun as I got to meet up with alot of old classmates. Well, not exactly old. Kaisheng, liesel, aileen, lik and of course alex. The main entertainment was ks falling down. Hahah. And alex was so funny today! She called lowlights, downlights and went hysterical upon realizing her mistake. And when liesel and ks finally agreed to wait for us to use up our rental hours, she jumped for joy, literally, and well, lets say jumping in blades isnt the most stable thing when you land. I kind of miss the feeling of being all dirty, sweaty, grimy and smelly after a good game or sport.

No guesses, I was late for meeting my mum at vivo, but she was appease after whining abit. HAHAH. Auntie, now you knw why I can stand alex's whining. Arab street tmr with twin:)))

Note to self: Never steal candy from the fat kid
Party monster is a straight out whacked out movie. Macauly Caulkin and Wilber Valderama(I'm sorry if I misspelled the names) in candy coloured clothes, being gay partners were very weird. I mean, I was watching the home alone kid with the that 70's show geek! Macauly's acting was pretty bad, or it was just the way he spoke. How he tried to imitate a shakesperean speaking crazed vain egoistic bisexual drag murderer.Drag queens, bisexuality, shooting up coke, popping ecstacy were the main staples of the show and I suppose what actually was the life of the club kids. It was intriguing. Scarily freaky but immensely intriguing. Just like suicide. Just like murder.

Hung out with the girls again! This time was with alex. Initially, we were supposed to meet at eleven, but I just couldn't for the love of god, get myself out of bed, so I told them to meet at twelve instead. And well, I was still late. Hahah.

We just shopped around vivo at the usual stores, f21, topshop, PULL AND BEAR and such. Omg, shopping with alex is like living in the stone age. After I had walked around the store like twice, she finally picked0 some clothes to try on. Unable to tolerate her immensely slow movements, oi and I went to pull and bear. And AFTER we walked around pull and bear once and I had tried on some jeans, did she FINALLY come over with her two purchases. Honestly, life with her is like walking backwards. Your life will go in rewind one day.

I bought a top from pull and bear again. Hahah yes twin, I really think I'm going crazy. And I think the zara gladiator sandals are really strangely nice! But the topshop crossover ones are even nicer. I need money money money.

Lunch at teh white dog cafe was alright, if only the waitress didn't mix up my order and delay the whole process, resulting in me having to eat a cold glazed salmon fillet. Of course, I could be the consumer bitch and demand compensation but seeing how panicked she was, I decided to be nice.

Dessert at marche with compliments from the prawn. Thanks alot dearie:)))).

xiaoan --

[noun]:

A person who falls into an outhouse and dies

'How will you be defined in the dictionary?' at QuizGalaxy.com
I finally met up with simeng and oi. Music and lyrics was a fun show, with hugh grant stammering and stuttering, batting his lashes incessantly as he jerked his hips singing about his heart going pop. Along with the corny 80's video and all the frankie says relax jokes (whose tshirt i'm dying to get), it was a very adorable show to watch in all.

I think I was the only one is the theatre laughing at the frankie says relax jokes. I suppose I'm the only idiot stuck in an age before she was born or something. I mean, who else knows about Frankie goes to Hollywood and the controversial song Relax, apprently about anal sex huh.

You know twin, about that quote you had? The one about the girl feeling scared because she thinks she treasures her friends more than they treasure her? I think it's so true. I'm not being neurotic or narcissitic or anything, but sometimes I feel that I'm so dispensible and disposable to everyone around me. And they say what are friends for? Really what are they for? And they say family is all that matters. But is there anything that really matters? We are all nothingness. So aren't relationships all nothingness?

I don't have a friend in the world. I don't have family. It's all just fleeting people who I've met and made certain connections with. Are those what they call friends and family? The people I can so called count on? I can't even name a single one then. It's not like I have been a hermit all my life, but I suppose I am a social hermit in this certain way.

My head hurts. More than ever.

You Are 75% Non Conformist

You are a pretty serious non conformist. You live a life hardly anyone understands.

And while some may call you a freak, you're happy with who you are.

You Are More Cutthroat Than You Think

Yes, you do have that killer instinct lurking in you.

And while you may not be actually cutting throats anytime soon...

You certainly don't mind clawing your way to the top.

You Are Running on 73% Adrenaline

Your Adrenaline Level: Borderline Dangerous

You're running around so fast, you don't realize how quickly life is passing you by.

While you may be getting a lot done, you're on the go lifestyle is probably wearing you out.

You Are a Pessimist

If things are going good, you can always imagine how they will turn for the worse.

And when things do happen to be bad, life is like a dark pit you can't crawl out of.

One bad moment can ruin your day, and you think one bad week can ruin your life.

Things are much better than they seem. Just take time to see everything that's going right.

Went to sign up at a job agency with daph and aud today. Before that, as daphy was going to be late, I decided to make a trip to the bank to open a new account. These errands really make me feel so adult. Like only adults search for jobs and go to banks as part of their daily routines, but when I think about it. I'm already nineteen which is very near twenty and this afterthought really scares the hell out of me.

A really funny customer came today, I think he was french. While Tijah went to get stuff for him in the stock rom he asked me, "Didn't this section used to be half girls and half boys? Now it's all girls." So I replied" We just changed the display to all girls." To which he said rather ludicrously " Well that's not very fair. Is that all you have for boys? I feel offended. The girls are dominating the world!" HAhHahahah.

I'm going to miss these funny foreign customers and their hilarious dialogues when I stop work on monday. I'm going to miss the too-cute kids that even I a childhater would like. I'm going to miss all the eyecandy customers or passerbys. I'm going to miss snacking on chocolates and biscuits with serping and tijah. I'm going to miss ranking guys with serps and buying Macs for everyone using my expired student status. I am a little reluctant to leave as I'm going to leave such a nice and fun place behind. But I really need money and sales is getting a bit boring.

Bless Revolver for running an article on HIM, even if it was just one pathetic page with an uber hot picture of ville in it. In the interview, Ville said that a new album will be coming out, very much unlike the poppish Dark Light one. Thank goodness. He said that "most people would probably hate it", but I have high hopes for it anyway!

I wish singapore had such music magazine, but I suppose it's really hard to run such a publications with such a dead music scene around. I mean, what bands are there to feature articles on? Most bands around are just imitations or copies of American bands. There seems to be no original sounds or anything. I'm sorry for being such a harsh critic when I myself am a music retard, but honestly. When electrico said they werre going to prove that local music doesn't suck, I was skeptical. After hearing a few songs, I rest my case.

Bought Nylon and Yen mag. I wanted to get Vogue UK as katem. was on the cover but it was just too damn expensive. Sigh. I need money. Seriously.

Someone please stop this great spending force known as xiaoan.

I spent 8 bucks on a Godiva drink which was absolutely delicious. But now I know why they named it Dark Chocolate Decadence. After the first 3/4 cup of rich chocolate ice taking you to heaven, you start feeling a little sick. Plus, I spent another 40 bucks on shoes at topshop. How am I ever going to save enough money t get my laptop:((((.

Zouk last night with steph, nic and his friend was pretty alright. The dj was waaaaay better, I mean he remixed some GnR and Blur songs which ups his cred ALOT for me. Most of the time was funk, which is much better than rnb in my opinion. Rnb is tolerable, but when the same songs are played in just different sequence, it gets fucking boring. Yesterday was an ugly day. I was ugly. Steph felt ugly. The crowd was ugly. Except one godcousin lookalike. Please note that lookalike means imitation, which in turn means a lower standard of the original.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIK AND KY!!!

The day just got curiouser and curiouser. I was on my way to work in the midmorning, just routinely daydreaming while having the spinto band or HIM blasting into my ears when my phone rang (well belted out vampire heart actually but anyway). My supervisor called me to check if I knew I had work today and I was like "huh yah i know I'm on my way". But it turns out my manager had changed my roster to full shift when I thought it was still at 12-6 shift. Imagine how late I was.

At work, while standing around, I went to consult Mr Guardian fortune cookie and he told me "Your destiny is changing, be careful of sexual appeal". Which means, hot and sexy guys and gals BEGONE! Hahah. But it's not like I'm some hunk or babe magnet, more likely I'm the psych ward escapee magnet.

Later in the afternnon, Lik dropped by for god knows what and my supervisor thought he was my boyfriend and let me off early! I was like HUH no he is my classmate, but she just kept chasing me away. Lik, you cost me thirteen bucks I tell you.

While having dinner at lido, serp and I were like looking at this guy who was like a 9.0! HAhah. Lucky day huh. But as we went to buy food, I noticed the group of girls he was with was like pointing and staring at us, so I asked serp if they were her friends, and well, no guesses here, they weren't. So she was like "huh, I stare at your boyfriend cuz he is goodlooking isn't that good". And with that I replied " Haha yah, if she was pretty we would be staring at her too." LOL.

I have decided to apply to FASS. Shenton way is really not my world and I would probably be stumbling and slipping off the corporate ladder half the time. So when I become a starving unemployed liberal arts grad, Lik please don't forget you said you would support me and give me a $5000 salary position in your law firm as an editor for your contracts.

Ms Azlin's wedding today! It was really cool as this is my like only second wedding I've been to, so I was quite excited. Haha. I really liked the setting they made which made them look like some malay royalty. Plus it was pretty great meeting all my classmates again. I shall put up the photos after I've managed to grab them off everyone else. Haha.

Went to starbucks at holland V with peiyi, huiling, eeli, daph, yuko and aud. It seems most are us are stuck in the same rut, to take fass or biz. Fass really seems like a dead end here in singapore. As my sis was telling me, in america they really value LA students, but in sg it's not really the case. For example, in the US thhey would rather pick an A LA student over a B business grad. But here, a B business grad would have a greater oppurtunity. This is really hurting my head.

eeli` Your dwelling places says:
i wish i was overseas. cos seriously i think sg is too small, and too rigid and materialistic for me actually
takeyourhandinmine says:
YAH thats why
eeli` Your dwelling places says:
let's go overseas! haha self-imposed exile

if u wanna be rich, biz
l|k^Kh|An (liver) says:
if u wanna scrape out a living persuing the craft of your dreams
l|k^Kh|An (liver) says:

Oh no, what should I do what should I do what should I do? I'm tired of living out of a cardboard box with a penance for a bank account, but Shenton way is just not my world. It's not that I'm an advocate for white superiority, but the cheesy phrase of America being the land of oppurtunity and dreams just seems so tangible all of a sudden.

What exactly may I ask, is the point and purpose of open houses? All aud and I did was walk around, grab some booklets to add to the weight of the door gift bags we were lugging around and eavesdropping on explanations to other eager people who seem to have a load of questions to bombard the facilitators with.

We soon gave up and was heading off to holland v for coffee, when we missed our busstop. So we ended up at starbucks near borders, loitered in kino then off home.

Such a hot and lazy day it is. Im contemplating whether I should apply for my university now. I really wanted fass but almost everyone is telling me how easy it is to get and that it really isn't worth getting into. Oh the confusion))):
It was all just reckless fun.

Irene was telling me loewe is lv's second line and I didn't really believe because their stuff really doesnt look marc jacob-sy. So when I went back to ask my mum she was like "HUH NO. Loewe is a spanish brand and lv is french! Omg. But don't expose your manager or later she bully you." HAHHAHA

Hung out with huey and ox yesterday which was really great. I hadn't seen them for ages. Ben & jerry's was a big delicious ripoff, pet safari is like a pet zoo with depressed puppies and superdog should seriously change their name to spacedogs as it sounds cuter.

Zouk at night with steph alex darren and his friends. I was in an uber bored mood so I didn't really feel the hype. Alex only got high after she took a drag from a cig which was really funny because she really started getting a little crazy. I had to sort of babysit her but at least she was huggable! haha I think i became crook for the night. There were alot of weird guys yesterday, ither that or it was just that section of the dance floor. Over at zouk, things were more happening. A fat white man in gold tights was dj-ing and dancing with this really hot girl. Unfortunately they were playing trance which gets really monotonous so we went back to phuture after awhile.

Oh yes and the really amusing thing was that we met that senior student councillor nigel's twin! He like came over to dance with us but I really didnt see his face cuz alex was clinging on to me, so when the music and everything stopped I was like "hey this guy looks like nigel" steph.
steph:yah yah i think so too
alex:huh
me:don't you think he looks like nigel
alex: OMG HE LOOKS LIKE NIGEL IS HE NIGEL?!?!?
the guy:omg you guys are from vj?nigel is my brother.
Got a ride from him home not long after. I suppose things were alittle better because Mr C wasnt there>.<

HAHAHAHAH. pictures added to nightout3.no night pictures though, i left my cam in my bag which was in the baggage counter

I'm not sure to be happy or sad. I'm contented with my results but not exactly estatic about it. Oh well, it's just that in a school oand class where most people are getting 3 or 4 As, getting just one makes me feel so stupid and pathetic. I guess I'm just a little sore about GP but then again, I've always known myself to be more of the creative writer than a journalist type, so it's not my fault it's just the bloody system. HAHAH.

:) ? :( ? =====> :|

p.s. more pictures up in nightout3 album
